On the other hand, the diesel variant, called Renault Fluence E2 come powered with 1.5 litre of dynamic diesel motor that is capable of churning out 106 PS of maximum power at 4000 rpm with 240 Nm of maximum torque at 2000 rpm. The newly launched Renault E4D comes with 1.5 litre of DCi (K9K) diesel engine that generates 110 PS of power and about 240 Nm of peak torque. Both the diesel engines have been smartly coupled with six speed manual transmission, which further enhance the driving experience for the owner, however, the sole petrol engine is coupled to advanced CVT II with 6 speed manual mode.

Renault Fluence Sedan has a very effective and impressive suspension system. The suspension system of this premium sedan comprise of McPherson type with coil spring, stabilizer bar and double acting shock absorber on the front, while Trailing arm type with coil spring and double acting shock absorber is present at the rear. Furthermore, the braking system of this sedan is also strong enough. The front brakes comprise of ventilated disc brakes whereas the rear come has customary disc brakes. This braking system of Renault Fluence has been accompanied with Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution System (EBD) and Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Brake Assist.
